Grob Band Saws

The 4V-36 band saw features a higher throat depth for bigger sawing applications. It’s built with a Grob Inc. heavy-duty 4-speed transmission featuring cold-rolled splines and gears. An infinitely variable speed range makes this option suitable for achieving total control of sawing operations.

Optional equipment for this band saw includes a blade welder, allowing you to make any length of blade you need from low-cost coil stock. We also offer frequency drives with dynamic braking. The standard equipment for 4V-36 band saws includes a totally enclosed, 3-horsepower 230/460-volt fan-cooled ball bearing double shaft motor and a speed range of 40-5000 FPM. In addition to a large cast iron table that tilts down 10° to the left and 45° to the right, this model also comes with 12 in. long table extensions to accommodate larger workpieces.

This heavy-duty model is manufactured with cold-rolled transmission gears and splines for maximum strength. The 6V-36 can also be utilized as a friction saw, capable of cutting through even the toughest materials, like hardened steel, easily. It features a mechanical safety brake in the event of blade breakage and comes with either an extended work height or rolling table.

The standard equipment for 6V-36 band saws includes a totally enclosed, 15-horsepower 230/460-volt fan-cooled ball bearing double shaft motor. It also comes with a 6-speed gearbox with a speed indicator and an infinitely variable drive, from 25 to 15,000 FPM. Other features include:

Band saw butt welders cut, weld, and grind new band saw blades using coil stock. First, the blade ends of the coil stock are clamped in place, and then the machine welds and grinds the edges to create a finished blade. Grob Inc.’s durable carbon steel and bi-metal butt welder equipment allows you to create blades in custom lengths to fit the requirements of any application.
